Series IIWP Sample Pack $12.95
Our Series IIWP Flexible LED Strips uses smaller LED's than the Series I which allows for a much thinner/lighter protective epoxy coating. The coating makes the strip waterproof and resistant to chemicals and contaminants. Since these strips are about a third of the weight of the Series IWP strips, they are much more suited for aircraft use. The epoxy coating is sturdy enough that the strips can be stepped on without damage, and they can easily be wiped clean. The epoxy coating makes assembly slightly more involved since the coating has to be carefully removed with a knife before you can solder to the strip. Strips include a 3M double sided adhesive on the back, can be cut to length using scissors, and are available in 6 colors. These strips are designed for 12V operation but will begin to illuminate as low as 6V, so a number of different battery configurations can be used (a 3S Lipo would work well).
In the fourth image below you can view the colors from left to right: red, green, blue, yellow, cool white, and warm white. The camera doesn't capture the full vibrance/trueness of the colors, but should give you a good idea.
Each color can be purchased in 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16ft lengths (please see specs below for exact lengths). The 16ft length is the maximum length available and will be shipped on a plastic reel. Strips of same or different colors can be soldered end-to-end (ie red, white, and blue). We also sell a sample pack which includes a single section (3 LED's) of each color. If you order a reel it will come with a short wire lead already soldered to the end of the strip. Shorter cut lengths and sample packs may or may not have leads.
